Recently I asked an amazing entrepreneur to do an interview with me… and we spoke for a few minutes over chat but he had a lot of information that would have been easier said than typed.  Now, this could be achieved in one of two ways.  We could have had a phone call OR he could record a video of himself speaking his message and send it to me.  He chose the latter.  And let me tell you, seeing his facial expressions made a world of difference!  He effectively got his message across and there was no misunderstanding of meaning or tone.

Using these types of communication can be a game-changer for your prospecting.  Everyone likes watching videos, even if they are about stupid stuff, so why not let your prospects watch a video of you explaining how you can help them?? It seems like a no-brainer.

But… I don’t like being on camera, you may say… Well, neither do I, but here I am killing it! I’m just kidding!  It does take practice and patience… and not nitpicking every single little hair you think is out of place.  Trust me on this one, it took a long time for me to realize I didn’t have to be perfect on video.  Record one video and delete it immediately.  You don’t need to learn from that one, it is just to get it out of the way.  Now record another video.  Watch it!  See if there is something that stands out to you.  Do you swivel your chair too much?  Do you bounce your leg, draw in deep breaths, or look everywhere except the camera?  Those things can be easily remedied.  Now record another, and another.  They don’t have to be perfect, they just have to be YOU.

Now, why would all of this be important to prospecting?  Because now, more than ever, communication is being done virtually rather than face to face.  But your face says a lot about you. People gain rapport with each other when in a face to face environment.  If you cannot get a conversation in person with someone, the next best thing is a video message.  This can garner an instant connection with a prospect because 1) not many people are using this technique, and 2) they will have a face to put with a name.

Video messaging is extremely simple in the ProspectBoss platform.  You record your video and send it from the same spot.  If you make a generic video, you can send the same message to many people at once.

Now that you know why video messaging can be so important and effective, head over to ProspectBoss.com and give it a try.  Use my code SUCCESS at checkout to get half off your first month!
