State of Emergency Declared in Louisiana

Louisiana has declared an emergency that prohibits unsolicited telemarketing calls into the state effective 6 AM CST October 28, 2020.

As of October 28, 2020, 6 AM CST, the Louisiana Public Service Commission will be required to report to the Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness in response to the state declaration of emergency in preparation for Tropical Storm/Hurricane Zeta, and a mandatory prohibition on solicitation has been ordered. The prohibition to telephonic solicitations will remain in effect until the EOC releases the LPSC from this mandatory reporting status. During the EOC presence all telephonic solicitations into the state are prohibited under the general provisions of the LPSC Do Not Call Program General Order.

The state of emergency extends from October 26, 2020 through November 24, 2020, unless terminated sooner. The prohibition of telephonic solicitations will remain in effect until the EOC releases the LPSC from this mandatory reporting status.
